Junior golf is a priority at Meridian Sun Golf Club Is there a future LPGA or PGA player in your family? Or maybe you just want your child to enjoy the game that you love? If so, then you'll want to find out about the golfing activities that we hold for youngsters. Very few clubs have as many leagues, clinics and classes for young players as we do at our club. As a result, we expect to have more than 250 youngsters playing with us this year. Your youngsters will work on their golf game, have loads of fun and make tons of new friends. All camps, clinics and leagues are adminstered and taught by PGA Professional Ron Applegate and staffed at an 8 to1 ratio with experienced instructors. Almost every day of the week during the summer at Meridian Sun is devoted to serving a different age group. Among the groups available are introductory, intermediate and advanced junior camps, recreational leagues for elementary, middle school and high school ages

The various programs introduce the youngest players to the basic skills they need to have to play golf and cover fundamentals - everything from grip, posture and stance to the rules of golf etiquette. For older and more advanced players there are clinics on short irons, chipping and pitching, fairway woods, putting, the driver and specialty shots. We emphasize safety and respect for the game.
